This week kindergarten students participated in bus safety. Students learned about the danger zones that surround the bus, practiced walking in front of the bus following the bus drivers commands, and practiced going through the emergency exit located at the back of the bus. All very important things to know as we will be taking a bus to our field trip next week!
Today Mr. Leiser, our elementary technology integration specialist, did a lesson with our class using Pokemon Go to help students understand how to take care of iPads. Click on the following links below to see what this consisted of!

https://quik.gopro.com/v/dRjlGHCq6w/ Our classroom is all set for orientation on Tuesday followed by the first day of school for kindergartners on Wednesday. It's going to be a great year! This year in the hallway families and other individuals will be able to see the exciting things happening inside our classroom by utilizing this timeline. It will remain up all school year and will be added to throughout the year. Two of the most exciting things your child will be able to do by the end of the school year is read and write. On the left you will notice student book boxes which will soon be filled with books at their level. Students will spend time reading each and every day! On the right hand side you will see a bulletin board talking about four main types of writing students will engage in during our year together: writing lists, letters, stories and poems.
Let another wonderful year of learning begin! |
